OPENING COURSE NO. 38: “MADE IN VIETNAM” LEAN CEO – A CONSISTENT DEFINITION OF MANAGEMENT FOUNDATION FOR BUSINESS LEADERS

On April 20, 2019, “Made in Vietnam” Lean CEO Course No. 38  was opened. As usual, CEOs include both those from manufacturing enterprises and commercial service enterprises; private and 100% state-owned enterprises. Although coming from different business environment, the management issues have many similarities.

Opening the course, Dr Nguyen Dang Minh, Chairman of GKM Lean Institute shared with the learners about the path of formation and development of the “Made in Vietnam” Lean Management System,  the achievements that the “Made in Vietnam” Lean Management System has created in practice when deployed, applied to more than 1000 Vietnamese enterprises over the years. Experiencing 37   courses taking place across the country, “Made in Vietnam” Lean CEO training continuously works with CEOs to build and to perfect the “Made in Vietnam” Lean Management System for businesses, and work together with businesses to solve problems that have not been solve during many years of operation. Dr Minh believes that, through the 6 modules of the training program, the CEOs participating in this Course No. 38 at GKM Lean Institute will also experience these good things.

With the first module, “Made in Vietnam” Lean Management, the CEOs also have opportunity to share difficulties facing during doing business. There are issues seem to be faced by every business as common ones, however, in fact they contain specific problems due to the industrial difference. Since then, Dr Nguyen Dang Minh answered: First, we must go back to basics, return to the right management concepts and be consistent with Vietnamese practices to know what the problems we are really facing are. There are many methods and management tools that each enterprise chooses and implements differently but needs to be placed on a pure Vietnamese management system with an elite and neat mindset. That is why the Made in Vietnam” Lean Management can support businesses from 20,000 workers to less than 20 employees.

Although it was only with the first module, the CEOs shared that they wish to immediately deploy the knowledge into the work on the next working day and will not need to change the training schedule, all will learn even on the national holiday schedule. That really is the most concrete evidence for the constant aspirations of business/ organization leaders in Vietnam. Those aspirations only need companions to light up the fire which is ready to burn for serve the life.
