I. Activities of GKM Institute of Lean Management ( https://gkmfinest.gkm.vn )

1. Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology Transferred for enterprises in Vietnam

In early 2021, GKM Technology Institute and GKM Lean Institute, GKM Vietnam Company participated in the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2021 (Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2021 – VIIE 2021) at the Hi-Tech Park, Hoa Lac, Hanoi (the place where the National Innovation Center will be built). This is the first international exhibition on innovation in Vietnam with the participation of representatives of Vietnamese government agencies. This event attracted nearly 200 leading organizations and enterprises in Vietnam. GKM Technology Institute and GKM Lean Institute, GKM Vietnam Company has introduced for the first time to the public : i) Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology, ii) Made in Vietnam, Made by Vietnam Innovative Technology, aligned with the Vietnamese situation, iii) Made in Vietnam Education Technology.  These technologies have been verified through technology transfer projects to enterprises over the past 10 years.

2021 has been a tumultuous year with more than 100,000 businesses having to suspend or stop their production and business activities. Faced with these difficulties, GKM Lean Institute continues to accompany Vietnamese CEOs in the process of “patching and repairing boats” to improve managerial capacity in the transferring Made in Vietnam lean Management technology.

Up to now, there have been 48 courses of CEO Lean Made in Vietnam held. In the surveys and interviews with business leaders, we are pleased to see that businesses applying Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology have responded that they are “very resilient in the crisis “. It is the management gene set of this management technology that has helped entrepreneurs gain resistance to the negative impacts caused by the epidemic.

In addition to the training activities of “repairing fishing nets to overcome the crisis” directly for enterprises. Through online seminars on Vietnam Net, VoV, VTV, GKM Institute of Lean Management always stands with the business community to remove difficulties and create solutions to overcome the crisis.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh shared with VOV1 about the business strategy “Openness*Elasticity*Resilience MIV” based on Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology of GKM Lean Institute to help Vietnamese businesses adapt to the new situation,  and Business Strategy. Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology has been found in Vietnam for Vietnam and confirmed the efficiency for Vietnam.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh collaborated with OBC- ONE BUSINESS CONNECTION to transfer Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology to it’s business community. Made in Vietnam Lean Management technology is explained in a streamlined way, easy to apply to business development activities, especially in the period during & after the COVID 19 pandemic. Business leaders have highly appreciated the practical application and looked forward to the next programs of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh.

GKM Lean Institute has been elected to the executive committee of the Vietnam National Association of Startups (ViNen). Accompanying the association to deploy the program series “Lean Startup Made in Vietnam”, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh has conveyed the spirit, philosophy and method of Lean Start-up Made in Vietnam to the entrepreneurs in the ViNen association. 2. Made in Vietnam Lean Digital Transformation Technology

In 2020, the GKM Lean Institute, GKM Tech conducted training programs on Made in Vietnam  Lean Digital Transformation Model for SMEs. The success of the Made in Vietnam Lean Digital Transformation Model has been created and established on the foundation of the Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology, unifying the understanding, how to do digital transformation in a scientific and effective manner. Paper on digital transformation in practical conditions in Vietnam. This is a breakthrough development of the theory of digital transformation Made in Vietnam, helping Vietnamese businesses cut down on waste (visible as well as invisible) in the process of implementing digital transformation.

GKM Lean Institute and GKM Tech cooperated with BK-Holdings to organize the program “Training and developing human resources for innovative startups” in Hanoi. In this program Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh transferred the Made in Vietnam Lean Digital Transformation Model. The model has helped the business leaders change “The Mind” to apply digital transformation, change the way of thinking, doing, and applying information technology in digital transformation in Vietnam.

GKM Lean Institute, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh and ILACS, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics accompanied VNPT Dong Nai in the series of Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology programs to help VNPT Dong Nai  digital  transformation strategy .

3. Policy consulting research activities

The year 2021 has ups and downs with strong influence of macro factors affecting the economy and businesses. Therefore, studying policies and proposing policy solutions to support the development of enterprises, improve internal resources, and competitiveness to be able to cope with fluctuations of macro factors is very important task.

In the past year, GKM Lean Institute, Assoc. Nguyen Dang Minh collaborated with USAID to carry out a research project to propose policies to support SMEs in Vietnam to effectively apply, develop, and transfer technology.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh presented in the conference about how Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology can improve the public administration, and  to support business leaders taking advantage of EVFTA. Besides, Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology  can help Nghe An businesses improve productivity and quality, contributing to the sustainable development of Nghe An.

4. Scientific research cooperation activities

In 2021, GKM Lean Institute, Assoc. Nguyen Dang Minh has been implementing the program “Made by Vietnam Open Innovation” to develop an open innovation network towards connecting knowledge from the University to businesses and vice versa. To build this connection sustainably Universities as well as businesses need to do it through assimilating the management Gene system in each organization (A component of Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology).

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh shared Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology with scientists from Hanoi National University. The program opens up a new way of thinking and doing in bringing knowledge from the University to the Enterprise by scientists joining with enterprises to solve practical problems of the country.

1. Developing GKM Foundation for educational activities

The GKM Foundation continues to sponsor educational development programs in Vietnam. The GKM Foundation has sponsored research programs on teaching innovation for K12 teachers based on the existing system of curriculum materials. At the same time, the fund is also working towards publishing publications that help students at all levels apply knowledge in real life. The publication will be a bridge between students, parents and teachers in applying and evaluating the effectiveness of the values ​​learned in school in real work and life.

2. Developing a research project on education theory and technology Made in Vietnam and transferring it to international educational and training organizations

The year 2021 also marks the strong development of Made in Vietnam Lean Education Technology. GKM Lean Institute established TGP Japan Company to transfer Vietnamese management technologies to Japan and transfer technical training technology from Japan to Vietnam. TGP Japan with the foundation of Made in Vietnam Lean Education Technology combined with Japanese vocational technology promises to be an effective educational model in Vietnam in the coming years.

III. Activities of GKM Technology (GKM Tech)  (https://gkmtech.gkm.vn/)

One of the important activities of the GKM Technology Institute (GKM tech) in 2021 is to coordinate with the GKM Institute of Lean Management to transfer the Made in Vietnam Lean Digital Transformation Technology to businesses. Made in Vietnam Lean Digital Transformation technology is a combination of management and technology (domestic and international). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh has redefined how to understand and how to implement digital transformation in accordance with the situation of Vietnam.

Along with that, GKM Tech is working on building a digital transformation toolkit based on the foundation of Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology (digitizing Made in Vietnam Lean Management Technology). Especially in 2021, GKM Tech has finished the R&D process of IoT system deployment solutions for manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam.

GKM has coordinated with the School of Training and Fostering Information and Communication Managers, Ministry of Information and Communications (ICI) to implement the training program “Raising awareness about transformation” of PVNDB. The program has laid the foundation for PVNDB’s digital transformation strategies in the coming time.

IV. Main activities of GKM Services ( https://gkmservice.gkm.vn/ ) and GKM Manufacturing

In 2021, GKM Services and GKM Manufacturing have made a breakthrough by realizing the connection of the value chain of Vietnamese products and services, owned by Vietnamese businesses. We have been associated with businesses in the fields of agriculture, mechanical engineering to jointly create Vietnamese products and services, from product research and development to mass production. MBV International was established by GKM with the mission of accompanying Vietnamese businesses to create high-class Vietnamese products and services.

V. Main activities of GKM Homes s (https://gkmhomes.gkm.vn/)

In 2021, GKM Homes continuously improves the Lean Family Management product, focusing on rebuilding Vietnamese families to have a scientific, neat and orderly life. We continue to focus on developing strong commercial products. In addition to traditional products, there are smart home products that have affirmed the GKM Homes brand in the market. We have been accompanying businesses to develop clean and organic agricultural products that help farmer households and agricultural cooperatives to improve the quality of agricultural products to connect Vietnamese agricultural products.

In 2022, GKM wishes to continue accompanying business leaders, organization leaders  to develop for the bright future of Vietnam.
