INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “THE MADE IN VIETNAM FINEST MANAGEMENT: FROM VIETNAM TO THE WORLD

On the morning of September 16, 2023, the GKM Finest Management Institute successfully collaborated with the National University Research Group at the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), and other units within the university to organize the international scientific conference “The Made in Vietnam Finest Management: From Vietnam to the World.” This event marks a significant international milestone in the mission of the GKM Finest Management Institute to promote The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology across all sectors of the national economy and to other countries around the world.

The conference saw a large participation of managers and scientists from both within and outside of Vietnam.


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh, Chairman of GKM Vietnam and the founder of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology, as well as the head of the National University Research Group, presided over the conference and announced a series of research findings on The Made in Vietnam Finest Management (MIV) in recent times. Alongside him, scientists and entrepreneurs shared their successful applications of MIV in various fields such as business, education, healthcare, agriculture, and public administration in Vietnam. Notably, the conference was honored by the presence of Prof. Masaharu Ota from Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, along with a delegation of students from Osaka Metropolitan University. From Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the event welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Trung Thành, Rector of the University of Economics (UEB), VNU; Dr. Phạm Minh Tuấn, Vice-Rector of UEB, VNU; and scientists in the fields of business management and public management from various research institutes and universities. The conference also had the participation of distinguished guests from government agencies, business associations, and enterprises that have applied or plan to apply The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology.

The conference was highly regarded as extremely meaningful and practical, showcasing the effective application of the Made in Vietnam Finest Management (MIV) theory. It once again reaffirmed the academic autonomy and stature of Vietnamese scholarship on the global academic map, demonstrating its full applicability across all sectors.

 The conference began with an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Trung Thành, Rector of the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). Dr. Lê Trung Thành highly appreciated the research on The Made in Vietnam Finest Management conducted by the research group. He also highlighted that this work is the result of a practical and fruitful collaboration between GKM and the research group.

In the first keynote speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh reviewed the journey of research, development, and application of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Philosophy (MIV). Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh emphasized the challenges that the GKM Finest Management Institute has overcome over the past 12 years to achieve the significant success in the research and application of the MIV Management Philosophy as seen today. He also highlighted the achievements of the MIV Management Technology, reflected in scientific publications, international and national conferences, publications, training activities, and academic exchanges on MIV Management, along with numerous practical accomplishments.

In his keynote speech at the conference, Prof. Masaharu Ota from Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, expressed his high regard for the pioneering efforts of Vietnamese scientists in successfully developing The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Philosophy. He was particularly interested in the concept of Tâm Thế within the MIV Management Philosophy and plans to spread this new knowledge within the community of management scientists and businesses in Japan and worldwide.

Prof. Masaharu Ota is confident that The Made in Vietnam Finest Management will be transferred to Japan.

In the following session, speakers, including scientists and researchers, shared their research results and the application of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Philosophy (MIV) across various sectors of life, from healthcare and education to public administration. The research findings and application models of the MIV Management Philosophy captured the attention of many attendees, promising a bright future for the application of MIV in enhancing the productivity and quality of “Made in Vietnam” and “Made by Vietnam” products and services in the near future. The topics presented and published in this session included:

  • The “Finest Hospital Management Model Made in Vietnam”
  • Application of MIV Finest Management Theory in developing and implementing methods, processes, and lean-oriented management tools for education
  • Application of MIV Finest Management Theory in building a lean management model for value chains in Vietnamese agricultural cooperatives
  • Application of MIV Finest Management Theory in the public sector and intermediary institutions, including: Developing models to reduce compliance costs for administrative procedures and applying MIV Finest Management Theory in constructing strategic models to promote business linkages within Vietnamese business associations.

Representatives from companies that have successfully applied The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Philosophy, such as DGPrint, Mr. Anthony Jolly – Director of Midway Metals Vietnam, and Bảo Minh Company, shared their experiences and insights on the process of adopting and implementing The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology in their businesses.

The lessons learned highlight that The Made in Vietnam Finest Management is not just a theory but also an approach to enterprise and organizational management that aligns with the characteristics of the Vietnamese people. Under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh and his consulting team, these businesses have achieved remarkable success in a short period of time.

At the conference, attendees were also introduced to films showcasing the achievements of various organizations that have successfully applied The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology, such as Viettel Construction Company and Trường Hải Auto Corporation. The insights shared by representatives of these companies resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring and motivating further scientific research and the application of MIV Management to create high-productivity, high-quality products and services for the prosperous and sustainable development of Vietnam and its people.

Many entrepreneurs are interested in applying The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology (MIV) to their production and service systems.

The conference concluded with a discussion session on the research and application of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology (MIV). Under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh, both domestic and international speakers delved deeper into the understanding and application of MIV Management, sharing their insights. In addition to asking questions to clarify the content presented at the conference, representatives from government agencies, business associations, and enterprises expressed the inspiration they had gained and confirmed their commitment to collaborating with GKM on MIV Management in the near future. Their goal is to collectively spread the knowledge and experience of “Made in Vietnam, Made by Vietnam” in MIV Management Technology within the business community, public organizations, and Vietnamese business associations. This collaboration aims to create high-productivity, high-quality “Made in Vietnam, Made by Vietnam” products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of the nation and humanity.

The foundational theory of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management (MIV), developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đăng Minh, has been the result of over 20 years of research, theoretical development, and practical validation to address the complex challenges of organizational management in Vietnam. Beyond establishing its academic value, The Made in Vietnam Finest Management has been effectively implemented, either partially or fully, across thousands of enterprises and organizations in Vietnam.

The benefits of implementing MIV Management include increased revenue, profitability, and product/service quality, improved income for employees, and the creation of a genuine learning and working environment that produces real products and services, ultimately leading to a happier life for all members of the enterprise or organization.
